Jul 2, 2018 ยท This 1959 Daimler Ferret Mark 2 is an unrestored armored scout car which was reportedly housed in a museum collection for several years after being imported to the US and was purchased by the seller in June 2017. The Ferret was developed in 1949 as a result of the British Army's need to obtain a replacement model for its Second World War light armoured vehicles. The different variants, indicated by the Mark number assigned, differed in many ways. Production ceased in 1971, with the last vehicles disposed of in 1994 – a service life of 42 years.
