Im currently having the same issue i have found you can buy a 38pin to obd2 apdator lead on ebay for bout £8. The cable has two connectors: one is 38 Pin connector, another is 16 Pin OBD OBDII connector. I'm assisting a friend via telephone 5 states away. I thought 38 pin connectors were only on non US spec vehicles. Is there another fuse location under the hood? My 1999 E320 is a W210, rather than a W203 as the OP, so the fuse layout is likely different. I seem to have the common problem with the 13 pin connector leaking transmission fluid.
